Education:
As a 10-year veteran and former Law Liaison with the Arlington Police Department, Stephanie is uniquely familiar with the stress and trauma first responders and veterans encounter. She has spent her career specializing in complex trauma working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse, domestic violence, combat trauma, vicarious trauma, dissociative disorders, PTSD, self-harm, OCD, eating disorders, suicidal and homicidal ideation, and psychosis.
Clinical Background:
Her passion is to create a safe space where individuals can begin to heal using a holistic approach while walking alongside them in their journey. Stephanie’s clinical background includes working in acute inpatient treatment centers for adults and adolescents, substance abuse treatment, group and individual therapy, court ordered treatment, and crisis intervention. Additionally, Stephanie has worked as a Victim Advocate for the United States Air Force for over 8 years helping survivors of military sexual trauma to recovery and find their voice. She has facilitated groups for survivors of sexual trauma, young adults working to find purpose and connection, substance abuse recovery, veterans and first responders, survivors of domestic violence, and sex offender treatment groups. She is well versed in diagnostic criteria, evaluation, and program development.
Academics and Research:
Academically, Stephanie has conducted various trainings for law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and mental health providers to increase understanding and acceptance of mental health concerns and to improve access to resources and support. Her areas of research interest include qualitative and quantitative work with first responders, veterans, sexual trauma survivors, and those with complex trauma to identify and advance alternative and holistic forms of treatment and healing. She is currently in the final stages of completing a research study focused exploring the psychological effect of sexual trauma survivors who have support from a victim advocate with the hopes of informing and improving current practice. Stephanie is independently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and clinical supervisor in Arizona, and also holds an independent LPC in Texas. She is currently pursuing licensure in Idaho, and has specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and is a Certified Complex Trauma Professional. Stephanie is a Director and serves on the Board of Directors for Guardian Garage, a non-profit organization serving veterans and first responders.

J’Briel Porter is a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the states of Oklahoma and Texas as well as pursuing licensure in Colorado and Washington state. J’Briel received her Bachelor of Science Degree at Northeastern State University and received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Family, and Couples from Walden University. J’Briel is currently completing practicum courses to complete a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University.
J'Briel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of mental health and well-being. With a strong passion for helping individuals facing anxiety and depression challenges, she specializes in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address and combat negative thinking patterns associated with these conditions. J'Briel understands the struggles that individuals go through to maintain their daily functioning and is committed to providing effective support. Furthermore, J'Briel has a particular interest in addressing complex trauma, juvenile justice, reducing recidivism in minority communities, infertility, and women's issues, recognizing the unique and sensitive nature of these concerns.
J'Briel's commitment to personal and professional growth is evident through her training in play therapy, where she is actively working toward certification as a play therapist. Additionally, she is an AutPlay trained and certified therapist, demonstrating her proficiency in working with individuals who benefit from this therapeutic approach. J'Briel also brings a valuable perspective to her practice by integrating a focus on cultural identity. She recognizes the impact of cultural identity on mental health and is dedicated to addressing the specific challenges that individuals from multicultural backgrounds may face. Jahzel Montaño obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. Upon graduating, she began working her lifelong passion of working with children who had lived through traumatic experiences caused by abuse and neglect. This work along with her own personal experiences in childhood have fueled her desire to pursue a path of diving in deeper.
Jahzel is presently a student at Northwestern University seeking to obtain her Master’s in Counseling and is completing her practicum through Element Counseling. Jahzel is dedicated to the continued development of her skills while working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and adjusting to life changes. Jahzel brings a wealth of life experience and empathy to her work to help clients understand their own journey and walk alongside them through the process. Jahzel is currently accepting self-pay clients through telehealth in the state of Arizona.

Andi Marleau is a Clinical Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor at Element Counseling. Andi has been in the mental health field for over ten years serving in various capacities such as psychosocial rehab, community behavioral health, assessment, and therapy. She holds a BA in Psychology from Texas Tech University and an M. Ed. In Counselor Education with a focus in Community Counseling from Texas Tech University. She has worked collaboratively with the criminal justice system and local law enforcement agencies to provide mental health and crisis intervention services to underserved populations in Tarrant County.
Andi has a passion for supporting first responders and their family members with a unique insight into the daily life, strengths, sacrifices, and trauma they experience. Andi also has experience providing support and therapy to caregivers with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has witnessed the amazing resilience of parents and infants in the NICU. Her areas of focus are first responders and their families, parenting, and women’s issues, with a specialization in perinatal mental health.
Through years of this work Andi has developed an approach of walking alongside her clients to hear their story, heal, and grow. She has a client centered approach that honors the uniqueness of each person. Andi uses CBT, Solution Focused, and EMDR with a trauma informed lens. She believes that in and outside of therapy all people deserve to be treated with respect, seen, and heard.
Bri Liberman is the Clinical Program Manager at Element Counseling. She is currently working towards her M.S. in Counseling at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Throughout her adolescence, Bri had a unique experience with complex trauma which drew her to this field. She believes she has been given this life and overcame her experiences to help others. She is passionate about understanding trauma, both in individualistic circumstances and on systemic and generational levels. Alyssa Miller is the Director of Social Media and Marketing. She recently graduated with her BA in Journalism and a minor in Creative Media Industries from Texas Tech University. Alyssa brings a wealth of knowledge related to the ever changing world of social media, marketing and journalism. Through her studies she has learned how to promote social issues and concerns through various media platforms. She has completed internships with KLBK-TV in Lubbock, TX as a sports and news reporter, and hopes to continue her career bringing awareness to social issues and injustices throughout our society. In her spare time she enjoys working out, watching sports, spending time with friends, and being a mom to "the best furbaby in the world", Leonardo DiCaprio DiVinci Miller, who is an Australian Shepard/Husky mix.
